Hide the scrollbar but keep scrolling

For horizontal carousels and tab bars where the scrollbar is just noise.

css

.scroller {
  overflow-x: auto;
  scrollbar-width: none;
}

.scroller::-webkit-scrollbar {
  display: none;
}

scrollbar-width: none covers Firefox and, since 2024, Chrome and Edge too. The ::-webkit-scrollbar rule is for Safari.

Keep it for things that obviously scroll (a row of cards with one cut off at the edge). Hiding the scrollbar on the whole page is how you make people think your site is broken.
